Stretch marks develop as a result of
the decline of the fibers under the skin. Genetic factors, rapid weight gain or
loss, and childbirth are the factors that lead to stretch marks. There are
several types of treatment techniques for getting rid of this disturbing
appearance. The primary objective of stretch mark treatment is to avoid the
decrease of collagen fibers, restore the elasticity of the skin, and minimize
the pigmentation issue. Chemical peeling, fractional laser, radiofrequency,
dermatherapy, PRP, medications and creams are the primary
applications used in the treatment of stretch marks. Even though these
techniques are very effective, they can't remove deepened stretch
marks, and a significant portion of them can be removed cosmetically.
